there has got to be a life lesson in that statement somewhere LOL!! well said!!
as far as tachs I kind of like having one! but I have been known to be a gadget guy! but like Omaha says when I am on a bike with out one not really missing it either?
now while I'm riding on the highway next to my buddy with his Street Glide doing 75 miles per hour I can compare my RPM to his six speed just to see how huge the difference is.
That reflection is good enough for something you really ain't going to see now I just need to install and wire. Now I have to double-check my service manual because the tachometer goes to the negative on the coil and I think that is the blue wire and the white is hot I can't remember.

When I built my bracket mount I ended up cutting away a bit so that I could remove the tach without having to pull the wire all the way through the bracket.

Sorry about the crappy lines but that's about the best I'm capable of on a computer.
Not having a milling machine at my disposal I took the easy road and used a couple of round spacers I picked up at ACE Hardware under the bracket . They fit perfectly also
.
Yeah Tex did the same thing but I wanted to keep it tucked as low as possible.

Gotcha, I was worried about cracking because of all the **** I just went through with my tank mounts cracking. Hopefully it's strong enough.

Hey Kevin.. I think that might be a direct replacement for my OEM tach (well almost direct with a little Fabbing). Do you have a part# and Vendor? thanx....

Good job, looks sharp!
i only use the Tach for two things, launching it at the Strip, and I can tell when it’s in 5th on the highway.
It’s a Evo softail dash mounted Auto Meter, speedo/Tach
