Default Tach finally coming

Just purchased a tach finally ,ideas limited but I do have a plan that hopefully works out. I will post pics as I go, tips ideas are welcome of course. Tach came with a handlebar clamp but ain't doing that. Gonna make a bracket of sorts to go center of bars right above the speedo.
I need to mill some of the clamp flat, my so called print should give you the idea.

no racing, except for when my friends get excited, tach is not my need, I want, it's a four banger so I'm curious about highway revs and maybe the idle, my car and truck have oem and not racers. Plus I don't have a limiter.

When I made a mount like that I put some spacers in the holes you are using and got some longer bolts so that the bolts cam all the way to the bottom of the riser using all the threads.
If you need some I can send you the spacers I used as I've since gone to a different tach.

Thanks Tex, we'll see how it goes, this one is extra so I don't mind milling it flat just where the holes are, and will get longer bolts for those two.

Not sure I see the value of adding the tach, or the look of it hanging up there, but why not just get a speedo with the tach built in?

I didn't even consider that, I recently purchased a new OEM speedometer from the dealer.

Neither do I... I don't even see why some one would even make a statement like that when it's not their bike or tach...???
I wish my OEM tachs were working... Right now it's just mounted and looking good.....

I know the aftermarket has a direct fit speedo with a tach in it, and I seem to remember HD offered one also. But maybe that was only for late models.
