Default Need help please 94 softail

Hey again 2 days ago I changed my carb and a terminal on the coil 12v side and it ran fine ,now the ildle is low so I cranked up to spec and I was 2 blocks from the house and ildle speeded up to about 1300,what could be wrong,the timing? thanks!

Possible VOES switch issue.
The Evo sub-forum might have more knowledge to help.

"Changed my carb" - From what to what?

"and a terminal on the coil 12v side" - What does that mean?

I changed from a stock cv carb to an Ultima,I have points ignition and the power wire was chafing the chrome coil cover. The Fuel had dirt in it so no more 2 gallon plastic gas cans. Thanks.

With any erratic idle, i would check for vacuum leaks, intake seals etc

Crud in the carb restricting fuel flow. See if it happens again.
