Default Evo engine gaurd

I've looked around a bit, but cant seem to find definitive answer. Just wondering if anyone has successfully installed a 07 heritage front engine gaurd / crash bar, to a 98/99 heritage.

I've had about 35 HDs. About 5 heritages from both eras. Fully understand the difference in frames, swing arms, tire sizes etc. But uncertain if a crash bar from a new model heritage, would be a direct bolt up to an older one. I need one for my 98 heritage and found a cheap one from an 07. Any definitive help greatly appreciated.

Theres not much to tell, been riding since the late 70s. Sold one to get the next one and then sold that to get the next one. Went from a flathead to a pan, then pan shovel, lots of evos, twin cams, 3 Springer's, 2 xbones, up to touring bikes, then to an m8 heritage. Now back on a 94 heritage and still love my evos best.

Don't know about softies, but I put a 2006 RK one on my 89 FLHS and just needed to redrill the lower mounts.

Thank you for taking the time to post this. I appreciate it. Simple, old school engineering.
