Asking for a friend here. Does anyone know if the Ultima Evo case is built with a main sprocket steel race insert, or is the left case a one piece casting? He's getting some oil into the primary, and thinks he might have a loose case insert, but not sure how the Ultima case are made. Thanks.

 

No direct experience, but there's no way the crank roller bearing isn't riding on a steel race.

 

I meant left case insert, not main bearing race.

 

I have ever only known them to be of steel and pressed in the left case.

 

They have a steel insert in the left case, it's rarely possible for oil to go from the case to the primary because of a dry sump system, It does happen when your stator screws loosen allowing oil to pass thru.
