Yes made for tall people, now as stated try and put the Mrs on the back!?!?!? I had an early frame mounted seat I purchased from a member for my shovel, looks like the bear trap thing but bolts direct to luggage rack. It had me up on the gas tank, I tried to live with it cause it looked year appropriate and two up. Then Momma got on the back, she was wedged between me and the rear grab rail, she is no as small as she was, but far from big. I think she would have needed to be around 110# to make it work. We made it around the block then I went home and took the seat off, total fail. Pick for reference, older paint on the bike: never even got to put the little passenger back rest on the thing. All sitting on a shelf getting dusty.

That seat was designed to leave the original luggage rack, and even tour pack in place with a frame mount seat... the originals with rack/pizza box, would Not accept the regular SuperGlide frame mount seat! I still have one also... the fact it moves ya forward had Not occurred to me, as I cut my teeth on a Pogo Seat... and like the Beartrap, it sets the rider quite a bit closer to the Bars [forward]... Didn't own a Super Glide till long after my original [1968] FLH was Gone... But I rode Hell out of a couple Sportsters in that time!!!!!

That was one of the reasons I wanted the seat to work, I have a pizza box I wanted to use for mini Touring using this bike, it all went sideways. Never even got to try the pizza box to see how it looked. And she wanted the mini pad as the rail was digging into her, but that would have removed another 1/2"-1" of room. She was literally right on my back, more room on my Sportser all day long. Just not enough room for 2 adults.
