Single Fire
I don't believe so.. Best test would be, if you have a switchable ignition is to install your dual fire coil back in and switch the ignition module over and try it.. I've never had an issue..
Nope! Most IC engines on the planet are single-fire. V-twins lend themselves to the simpler twin-fire due to a variety of reasons. I suspect EFI Harleys are single-fire, simply due to the technology incorporated into the fuelling part of the engine-management system.
Exhaust leaks? Drag your fingers around every exhaust joint and see if you get soot on your fingers. Check welds also.
Hold a cigarette or incense around the joints while engine is running and where the head pipes meet the head. Look for smoke to move from exhaust leaks.
What kind of exhaust/mufflers do you have? Some shorter/free flowing aftermarket mufflers are more prone to this than stock exhaust.
Make and model of bike, what carb and carb jetting?
Is this decel popping something new? YD

Far as I can ascertain, all true EFI systems are in Fact single fire...
Toyota used waste spark on their EFI systems for a long time. Basically from when they ditched the distributor until they went Coil on Plug. As an example, a 1998 Camry 5SFE has a waste spark (2 cylinders fire at the same time) system just like our Evos. Many others did too, such as Mitsubishi and Ford (probably Mazda), from the coils I've seen.
