Default 1986 FXWG wiring orientation

Hi
I have a 1986 FXWG and would like to make sure my wiring is in the correct orientation over the backbone and heading to the battery, I'm in the process of mocking up some new tins and noticed some chaffing on the loom where it crosses the back bone. i have wondered in the past if its correct as the wiring has always been visible on the right side hanging above the rear rocker cover. see my images and any images of stock layout would be much appreciated.
