Hey everyone,
new to the forum. I have a 92 FXR super glide. Had the motor rebuilt about 150 miles ago. After putting about 120 mi on it it blew a head gasket. Had that replaced and was running good for about 30 miles and now it's smoking. I don't know if the rings are seating poorly or if it's a valve guide seal but I also noticed that my front head breather is breathing very well and my rear one is doing nothing at all. Do you think that a bad umbrella valve could be pushing the oil pressure somewhere else or do you think it's just a coincidence? Thanks much
I'm concerned why the head gasket blew after only 120 miles. Either proper head bolt torque procedures weren't followed or you have a cylinder stud pulling out of the block. Who rebuilt the engine?
