EVO oil question

Got a 1999 FXSTC. Previous owner has put synthetic oil in it. Is it safe to go back to conventional or should I just keep using synthetic?

If it's been using synthetic without issues (funky noises, leaks), then keep using it. Otherwise, go back to regular.

Perfectly safe...no special draining, flushing, or any of that required to make the change. I did it myself in fact. Tried the highly touted Mobil 15/50 Syn for a while...didn't like the "side effects" I was getting and went back to Castrol 20/50. Change the oil and filter every 2500-3000 mi.

I have the same bike. All I ever use in it is dino oil. It's what the manual says to use. Manual also says use synthetic in the gear box. Run it in very hot temps, never a problem. Engine will run forever.
