As for the OP. did you do a full flow test to the carb as well as checking the float level?

Default Update

went for a 200 mile shake down run,,and made it 100 miles,,stator plug melted,,,maybe i was losing the stator all along ???

could be the stator shorting out killing the bike popping the circuit breaker, or that could be just a bad wore out plug with loose connections, have you checked the stator to see if its charging or shorted to ground?

Ideally melted wiring at a convention is indeed a poor connection.. still as Mike says test your charging system.. Sticky it's at the top of this forum..

It completely melted the pins on the reg,,and the females on the stator,,so i cant get to any good wiring,,,,new one will be here in a couple days,,,this one lasted 9 years,,,,i mean it melted the rubber plug on the stator down in the inner primary ...
