I have a 1992 FLSTC and when checking the oil today my temperature gauge dipstick ( I don't believe it was OEM) came apart. The part number from my manual shows 62634-84 but they are proving difficult to find in decent or new condition. My question is will the 62634-84a work as a replacement? I'm getting conflicting info from various sites when I place my bike info in the capability search engine. I like the aesthetics of the cap without the temperature gauge built in.
The temperature gauge dipstick was a H-D accessory. The part number is 62668-87TA. It's still listed in the parts and accessories catalog. It was NOT an OEM fitting. Any Harley dealer can get it for you
