buddies dad gave me forward controls off a softail said they would fit
so my buddys pop gave me 3 inch stretch forward controls off his 92 said they fit 86 to 99 softails..
no master cylinder said i either have to flip mine or get one that mounts onto the lower frame, im guessing on that lower square near mid frame
ill post a pic... cause looking at my master there's no way the rod can go into the master. my fluid line is front facing and the plunger is in the rear
i mean there in really great shape ill change the pegs of course but, for free ill get whatever it takes to make them work .
wanted to get rid of the boards anyway as im always stretched out with my heels on the tops anyway
any help would be appreciated o there going on a 98 fatboy

Yeah that's not gonna fit a Softail. The master cylinders up front in front of the floorboards.. That's for like a mid-glide mid-controls type master cylinder, like on a Dyna...

An FXSTC (which comes with pegs) comes with a different style MC that has the reservoir mounted between the down tubes than the FL's ( the ones with boards) which have an all inclusive MC/reservoir combo mounted towards the inside front of the right hand board.
Basically what I'm saying is you need to get a new MC and reservoir to run pegs on your Fatboy.
i dont want them ....now i gotta figure out what master i need
and line i took the whole thing apart installed the shifter side went on like a charm soon as i got to the brake side im like ****
so i need a fxstc master and line ?

And reservoir.
As I said the reservoir is not part of the MC on an FX. It's attached to the down tubes behind the regulator and a hose connects it to the MC.
