Ignition switch removal on 96 Electra Glide Classic

Ignition switch removal on 96 Electra Glide Classic
I am going to be removing my lower legs and slides to have them Powder coated Black. I have been trying to research how to remove the ignition switch on the dash. I have done them many times on my '09 and my wife's '05 Classics. I looked over my Clymer manual and it shows for 97-99 domestic but does not say a word about a '96. the manual covers 84-99. My question is does the switch come out the same as all the rest of them or is there a step I will need to know. Thanks in Advance!

unhook the positive on the battery ... with the key in rotate the switch (not the key) all the way to the right ... use a small screwdriver to push on a button under the left end of the switch ... while pushing the button turn the key to the left ... this will release the switch and allow you to lift it from the switch housing ... from there it is screws and bolts ... a FSM is best to use (Factory Service Manual) over any non-factory manual

If you turn the wheel the ignition switch alignment may no longer be, there's a specific alignment to get the **** back on so be careful what you do. I didn't know and made a mess, a buddy had an "alignment tool" and came over and fixed it.
