93 ultra speedometer drive unit issues

well now thats a funny one, see i just got back in from the garage after getting both calipers on with a 1" spacer on one side and a 7/8" on the other, the caliper clears on both sides but one side is slightly closer to the outer pad and the other is slightly closer to the inside pad. If I had 15/16" spacers on both the wheel would be perfectly centered, although finding 15/16" spacer is proving harder than i thought it would be, Everything seems to be on the 1/8" scale. 1" on each side is too wide and 7/8" on each side is too shallow. Seems like i need to make a couple custom size spacers to get it right, unless of coarse i can find a way to get a speedo drive to work?

Get the measurement aligned on the left side then get the drive milled down to the appropriate length. Here's how I put a late model wheel on my '94 with the 3/4" axle with the speedo drive. The process for you should be similar.

Spoke with a local machine shop today and im going to be heading there Monday. I'm going to cut the drive unit spacer down to 15/16" and have my spacer cut for the right side to match, This will align the wheel perfectly and give me my speedometer as well. If all goes well hopefully ill be back on the road by next weekend.

I'm going to cut the drive unit spacer down to 15/16" and have my spacer cut for the right side to match, This will align the wheel perfectly and give me my speedometer as well. If all goes well hopefully ill be back on the road by next weekend.
