Default poly handlebar bushings anyone?

i just finished installing 14” carlinis and think the stock bushings might be too soft with the added leverage. anyone add longer bars and felt the need to go poly or even go solid?

I installed Polly bushings on my 1998 Ultra 10-15 years ago. Stock handlebars, just thought they were too mushy.

Stiffer than stock, but much softer than solid.

I wouldn’t want the OEM stock rubber bushings again!

Poly works fine, you'll feel a bit more buzz but nothing offputting.

If you swap out the bushings, you're gonna get more high frequency vibrations in the handlebars.

I have poly bushings and they are not too hard like solid ones, not too soft like stock ones, they are just right. Solid bushings on a harley is insane to me with the vibration you get. Going polyurethane your bars won't really move depending on the leverage their hight creates.

I just ordered poly bushings for mine, the rubbers are worn out but I would have preferred to go with the rubber bushings again, I just can't find them for sale anywhere!

When I went to 14" I installed solids and a locking top clamp.

My '85 FXRS has the original buckhorns with 4" risers. I went with polyurethane bushings many years ago when the factory rubbers wore out. I'm on my second set of poly now. As pointed out, they're not going to be as vibration-free as the original rubbers but the difference isn't objectionable...just noticeable. I'm still fine running 90 mph for as long as I want to ( or can get away with...).
