Carb Upgrade
I have to recommend the shop that did the work for me -- Motorcycle City in Canton CT. Anybody from CT's Hartford or Litchfield counties should check them out. It's a relatively new shop (they don't even have a sign up on the road yet), but both guys have been working on Harleys for a long time. I stopped in a while backafter noticing that it had opened, just toget a feel for the place. There were three bikes on the benches that day, an old iron head Sportster, a Shovel and an Evo hot rod they were building. I took this as a good sign; they are willing and able to work on any type of Harley new or old, and will either do maintenance, restoration or build customfrom the ground up.
They did a great job on my '89, turned it around quickly and charged a fair price. Most importantly, the bike runs 100% better after they worked on it. I hope they are real successful, as the shop is very convenient for me (I ride by it every day on the way to work), and theyare great guys as well. I expect to be bringing the bike back to them in the fall for a cam/lifters upgrade.
Once again, glad you found yours.
Maybe we should start a thread regarding where they are in which state? I think thaty would be a great service to the forum members.
