Bike looks straight black in all your other pictures. Interested to see pics in some good lighting. I like the seat!

Thanks! I keep him updated on the his bike. He’s just not able to ride anymore unfortunately.

Yeah my Dad’s buddy did the paint work. It’s got some nice ghost skulls on the tank, just hard to capture in photos. I’ll try to get some better pics this weekend.

Here's couple shots from yesterday. Took ride over to PCB, it was a beautiful day for a ride. I'm really enjoying the Saddlemen seat. Pretty comfortable and looks great. I tried getting a good shot of tank, its hard to get it to come up on a photo well. Got a good B side shot for ya too. One a side note, I'll probably be switching to mid controls over the winter. I'm a short guy so these forwards aren't too comfortable. I prefer mids anyways.

Fresh engine and transmission oil/filter today. Went with some basic conventional Castrol 20W-50 for both. I'll change out the primary fluid soon, but I'm still debating on doing the chain conversion this winter. If I do that I'll have to take apart whole primary. She got a good wash and wax too. I notice she doesn't like to stay idling when she's cold, she'll die at lights. Should I raise the idle up a bit? After a while, like 30 minutes of riding she'll idle fine and won't die at a light. Or just keep the choke open a bit for the beginning part of the ride?

I got a few parts coming in tomorrow and this later this weekend. I'm short so I'm gonna relocate the forwards back an inch. Got a bar bag and a better seat nut and mount coming. Also have new rear turn signal bolts coming in so I can get those mounted back up.

My 95 Evo is cold blooded too. The PO had the idle set at 1200 RPM and I thought that seemed too high so I lowered the idle down to 900-1000 RPM. I do need to keep the choke/enricher out for the first 2 or 3 miles until she gets up to temperature. If I don't it wants to sputter and die at stops.
Once she gets good and hot she idles fine.

I start her up and let the choke pulled out all the way while I put on my helmet and gloves. Then I push the choke in half way and jump and and go. Run it about 2 or 3 miles then push the choke in all the way.

Bike looks great! try opening the pilot screw 1/4 turn, it always has to warm up to idle, but shouldn't take 30 minutes.

edit, looks like a S&S carb, open the idle mixture 1/8 to1/4 turn, bump idle speed to right at 1k fully warmed up.

Thanks guys, after some research I see these Evo's are extremely cold blooded. Very different from a fuel injected sporty. I've been using the enricher to maintain idle while cold, just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. And yes, it's a S&S. She idles real low when cold, sounds great but not so good for her. Thanks for the advice! I'll get that carb dialed in this weekend.

Also, I notice she smells got a strong gas smell after sitting in the garage. I plan on replacing the fuel filter but is this normal for Evo's? I also have fuel dumped on the ground during start up.
