I contacted the dealer to ask a few questions and they apparently are not interested is dealing with an out of state potential buyer unless said buyer walks into the store.
I have no intention of making a 650 mile trip to look at a bike.

Welcome to the new Harley way.

Yup. During one of our phone conversations when I told them I have an EVO that I would like to trade in, I was told they don't want to take it in trade because they don't work on them.
I was going to ask how the hell they ended up with the bike I was inquiring about but thought, why bother, I'm not going to pursue this any further.
Usually a dealer will only sell a bike like that if they know the history and are pretty sure its a good bike. Otherwise they send it to auction or a used bike dealer. I can understand them not wanting to deal with out of state buyers. Maybe you should take Hoginedgewood up on his offer.
