OK, shut down work for the day waiting for the wife to get home, going ride somewhere tonight, it's 91 and the real feel is 97, summer done showed up.
Still got the side covers and bags to paint, rear fender's good enough to leave as is.
Got a few more things to powder coat, primary, trans side cover, front signal brackets, maybe rocker box tops, I want to do the cam cover, but I'm not going in there just for that, hope it doesn't give me a reason too soon.
Have a few ideas for graphics and tank badge, or I might just leave it as "Plain Jane"
Id be very interested to see how you swapped over the wiring. Is it still carb? Or did you change it to fuel injection?
Still carbed, the wire harness was made from parts of two used later model oem harnesses, started by finding a place for the relay/fuse box, and worked out from there.

So you completely stripped the harness from the 09? You didnt just plug things in where they go with the new fairing? Im just trying to understand if you updated the fairing why didnt you just use the correct harness for it? How did you go about not having to wire for fuel injection? Is there a ecm as well?

No injection, has an S&S carb, built the harness out of oem parts for what this bike needed, nothing extra, look at post #1.
did you buy complete harnesses for fairing and the engine? Would you happen to direct me in the right location to get the harnesses I need. Im doing this same thing. Im just having a hard time trying to locate exactly what I need. Thanks
