OK. They must have still been using the Shovelhead gauges in the earlier FLT. Thanks

Glad you found a number on the current gauge, that explains it all. Don't know if the sender for that one would look very good and you'd have to change the wire ends to connect to it.

Yeah, the sticker was faded but I could make out the -99b suffix. Pinwall will have the right one here on Thursday. Thanks for all the help, no way I would have gotten this resolved this quickly without it.
Schex and rizzo are up on fairing particulars much more than myself, and it was Ya Tigor who actually called it. I was going on assumption you were using a non-TC gauge. Wealth of information on here and I learn at least as much or more than I (think I) know
That's quite a project you took on and it's looking fantastic. Kudos

Reason: spelling
Amazon outer fairing painted brilliant silver from PaintScratch.com Metra 95-HDIF inner fairing. Highly recommend. Led bulbs. Sony AX5000. DS-18 6.5 neo marine speakers. Pyle 400w amp. Loud as all hell!!!
What wiring harness did you use? Did you run a new fuse box? Did you remove all the old harness and old school fuses? Im not sure what they are called but they arent fuses. More so like breakers?
Where did you get the inner fairing as a double din? Did you swap to electronic speedo?
Google Metra double din inner fairing, you'll find it. Stayed with mechanical speedo, that was there hardest to find. Has to be 96 or 97 only.

Kept all the original bike wiring. Just updated connectors to work with 96-98 gauges.
