I hate leaks... They are so annoying... You did good jhusband...
A little update to the leaks,.. After I figured out the primary Vent thing I still had another leak.. It was the oil feed line coming off of the top of the oil screen on the right side case for my oil gauge.. So I was able to fix that and thought cool I had everything done with all the leaks.. So the next time I had it out, I parked the bike and I got these w black oil spots on the ground over on the right side case again.. I'm like what the hell can that be.. I'm looking around looking around I can't find it I said screw it and kept riding... About 10 minutes later I go to hit my rear brakes and nothing... My rear brakes went out on me... There was a rupture in the line under the cam chest where it's was rubbing on the frame... At least I didn't have an oil leak... Lol...

I think an oil leak would have been than no brakes! LOL!
Man, I still have a leaky some where but I don't think it's motor oil... It's either my IPB seal or a shock.. the oil is too clean.. I just put the shock on a year ago.. 422's..
Not sure if the primary is venting or not so I tried the hole in the derby cover bolt truck.. We'll see what happens... Did I tell you"I ****ing hate leaks"....

How did you drill the hole straight? Resealing the inner primary on my Shovel and like this, put a vent hose on the backside but it's in the oil level area, will be fine but like this simple set up
Well I don't have a shop any more so I make do with what I can in my garage at home.. I put a nut on the Allen screw to be able to hold it firmly with vise grips.. Set up a couple of boards against the wall on my make shift work bench to raise the bolt above bench level. Then with my drill I just tried to keep it as straight as I could while keeping good pressure on it and drilled it out with a # 47 machinist drill bit.. No need to go bigger, it just weekins the screw.. It came out pretty straight and good enough for Primitive Pete.. lol.. when you don't have a drill press ya gotta make do..
Truly appreciate what you are saying about leaks. The 96 FLHT I am reconditioning has more built up crud from oil leaks than I have ever seen on any of my other bikes.
EVOs are not supposed to leak oil.
Think by the time I am done I will have replaced any/all seals, gaskets and lines connected to oil of any type/substance.
