I got my bike out of the shop this past weekend and it started dumping rain so I didn't get to ride it. I did, however, sit on it and noticed the dash was out of alignment with the ignition switch. I don't remember it being that way, but when I spoke to the shop he said they didn't do anything with the tank/dash. The work I had done was a cam w/quickie pushrods and new polished lower fork legs. Any thoughts? Can the dash be aligned? I've only disassembled my Softail tanks and dash so I'm not familiar with this yet.
Are you talking about the fuel door key barrel lining up with the ignition **** ? Open the fuel door - there should be a couple screws\bolts in there loosen them up and see if you can align it better.
If they put new lower fork legs on, they would have had to remove the front fender, fork tubes, and loosen the triple tree clamp bolts.
The fork tubes in the triple tree may be racked a little, depending on how it was sitting.
You need to get the bike level and on a jack so as to take just enough weight off the front end, then loosen the triple tree clamps on both sides and see if it is aligned correctly.
You may need to take the front fender off and loosen the axle along with the axle clamp bolts.
If the fork tubes are somehow twisted in the triple trees that would account for it being out of line.
Or maybe it has always been that way and you did not notice.

That's a thought but the dash housing is still out of center
Take a 12" straight edge line it up over the center of the fuel door lock and the center of the HD bar and shield logo on the fuel door. Does the rear of straight edge lineup with the center of the bike and the center of the console?
My '98 RK tank is a bit off, bike doesnt appear to have been wrecked but ... i thought about using a long bolt in the frame mount, a cheater bar around it all and some gentle heat to tweak one mount down, but i can live with it for now
