Black powder coating, instead of chrome, became a thing in the mid 90’s, at least that’s when I noticed it… I didn’t realize the MoCo was in on the trend that early!

Yeah and honestly, I thnk they did a good job with the Night Train, it's one of my all time favorite HDs.

But even further back was the Sturgis. It may have been the first HD to get the blackened treatment.
