Default 1999 fxstb

It’s got some patina. It scoots well to have 53k miles on it. I’ve put a little love into it so far. New front tire and brakes, fresh service, carb clean, air filter, new switch. Finally found the chirping noise today. The drive belt deflection was off by almost 1/2”. Gotta get to the fork seals but I’ve enjoyed the 600 miles I’ve put in it so far.

I thought the Softails had Twin Cams in 1999? Or was that the Touring bikes? I know one or the other switched over to TC88 motors in 1999.

I like the black covers and oil bag, did it come from the factory “blacked out” ?
