I grabbed some moola from the bank and messaged the guy. I think he took me as a time waster because I asked him some questions. Sent a picture of the money in hand. Maybe that will wake him up.

I have an '89 myself. The only real issue with the '89 motor is the compliance fittings and the butterfly carb. It was the last year for that setup, with good reason. It's a fairly easy change to get rid of the compliance fittings and install a CV carb and will make your life easier down the road.

I know it is hard, but be patient. This time of year is not great to buy or sell bikes, but you can often find good deals.
There are some good things and bad things about the '89 model year. Plan on having to buy new tires, change all the fluids and likely swap out to a newer carb (or at the very least rebuild the old one).
