My '99 is great as well, even better with the new drag pipes on, really runs strong with no hesitation. Had a 2 into 1, hated the looks and sound, but was told I'd expect a huge drop in performance if I changed it over. BS!!! Runs better than ever! Maybe I didn't have the carb set up exactly right for the 2-1. Also for a change, removed the screen, rack, hard bags and their hardware and touring seat. Must have lost a few pounds, 'coz it really handles so much better now. I love it!!!!!!!!!!
For some reason alot of the guys at work have bought Harleys (something to do with turning 40 I suspect)
Mainly they have bought twin cams. A couple of months ago They decided to go for a ride on the weekend, the following Monday at work all the talk was about how they couldn,t keep up with my 91 Granny glide.
Maybe it,s not the age of the bike but the experience of the rider, who knows.
I wouldn,t trade my evo for quids.
