I was thinking of getting one these V-Twin Mfg. Timing Device For Harley 1970-1978 but I have a 1989 FXR. I was wondering if I could adapt to my later
model inner primary case. It looks like the solution.

I did get sprayed by a shovelhead and still got it. It must have been the wrong kind of oil.
