Default Dremeler through plug. Worried

so i was trying to remove my tappet screen plug to check the screen. I wanted to get a deeper screwdriver in so I read it's ok to Dremel the slot a little deeper. Well I barely even started and oil starts seeping out the top of plug. So. Long story short I got the plug out but now I am worried the there's microscopic shavings in there. I mean there's oil slowly seeping out from hole so maybe if I let it do that till I get new plug those dust particles might just float on out? Or since it was on top of the screen , when I removed screen it caught them? I always read people using easy outs and drilling if they break a plug so I can't bee too bad off? Also I posted a pic of the screen. Looks damaged on top? Any help would be appreciated. Apparently the center of the plug is thinner than the edges.
Screen looks crimped.

There are almost always microscopic metal shavings in your oil.

IMHO, i'd run it... if you were worried enough, run it a bit and then change the oil. YMMV

I've done a lot of reading. And a lot of reading here on the Evo forum about Evo motors. I've NEVER come across someone saying it's OK to dremel that slot a little deeper. I do recall many saying to buy the right tool for that plug or replace the plug with a hex head type plug.

Anyway, in your case, if you are super paranoid, put a rag over the hole, pull the plugs out, crank it a bit until you are happy with the mess, put it back together and don't worry about it. If you're not super paranoid, put it back together and don't worry about it.

yea I guess I'm just being super paranoid. I had to dremel it because whoever did it before had it all marred up. And a big screwdriver kept slipping out.

like the good DR said crank the engine over for a minuet deal with the mess, I would add putting a small thin round magnet in the hole and 39 seconds later pull it out and continue to flush if that's what lets you sleep at night then DO it

PS don't be modding the other screws just fix what happed and move along get a new screen

After about 20 years of checking that screen at every oil change and not finding anything.... I quit checking.

when a guy would come along from another place, and the blue silicone was hanging out of everything, we would take it out with him standing next to the bike

most of the time he came in because the engine was getting noisy, and the screen was almost clogged solid with blue silicone floaters

Crank it and pump some oil through as mentioned.
And don't to that to the plug anymore.

Snag a hex topped plug and screen and go ride.

ya didn't kill anything
