Default Supertrapp Exhaust

Long story short I need to replace my exhaust and just want to replace what I have. Supertrapp has a pipe for my bike that may be a replacement but there are no pictures on the site. I'm considering an alternate supertrapp pipe but I don't like the default end cone option and can't find where to order the options they say are available. I emailed Supertrapp a month ago and again today but I've yet to receive a response. I called and the auto message just tells me to send an email. Has anybody had luck with contacting them or should I move on another exhaust manufacture?

Maybe try Dennis Kirk as they sell SuperTapp.

Cool

Hi Mike, your pipes look as if they have seen better days! Are you looking for two separate pipes with mufflers, or a jolly good Supertrapp product? I have one of their 2-inro-1 pipes and am very pleased with it. Provides much smoother running and improved torque than any other I've had - Supermeg. Got mine from a local dealer here in the UK.

For nostalgic reasons I would like to replace what is existing. I never found it before but I believe this is it. My current pipes are empty. It would be interesting to see what the sound and performance does with the internal disks. I'm guessing they were removed from the existing pips for the loudest option. I am considering that supermeg as well. I can get it through several sources here in the states.

If you think the pipes looked rough before this is what I did yesterday to keep the end cap on for a test ride (I'm working through primary issues at the moment). Exhaust was missing one of the caps when I bought it. The only replacement I could find was slightly off. You can see the top cap is slightly longer than the bottom in my first post. It's also slightly smaller in diameter. Never fit just right. I got a couple thousand miles out of it but it constantly came loose and eventually damaged the pipe.

I better picture of the existing head pipes would be nice, because those just look like slip-ons and you can get anything you want with a 1 3/4" inlet..

I ran the Supertrapp 2 into 2 on my '85 FXRS for a few years. Just a few random thoughts for ya:
1. Ugly as original sin
2. Did provide some performance improvements... all discs in place.
3. If the "mufflers" on yours are empty...you aren't gonna get much when your running anything other than wide-f'ing open.
4. They are just slip-ons...I'd try Screaming Eagle slip-ons myself before getting anything else.
5. Mine didn't last too long before rusting out internally.

I understand any muffler that fits on my head pipe should work but my existing mufflers each bolts to the frame. Harley doesn't show any screamin eagle options for my bike. Dennis Kirk shows no options and JP's are universal fit.

I'm 99% sure if my pipes came with disks they were likely never installed. I think volume was chosen over performance at the time. I have read quite a few post about the supertrapp disks rusting out.

If I emailed a company a month ago and without a reply it would tell me all I needed to know about their level of service.

Honestly, of money allows, I would just get a whole new system.. It'll come with the mount necessary.. That's a Softail right?

ST pipes are big and can be a pain to tune right for most owners. They do work well if you get them dialed in to you machine.
