My manual doesn’t differentiate between ignition timing for carb or FI.
Maybe because it’s the MM system?

I'm going to static time it on TDC.
Than I going to Dynamoc time it looking for the 2 dots.

Thats my plan for now!

What manual is that exactly? Year(s) model? Some of the later model Touring came with injection only is why I ask.

Thanks. They all had the same flywheels, but some came injected only.

So long as you static time on the line (TDC) you won't tear up anything.

Update

Static time on TDC ✅️
Dynamic time on the 2 dots ✅️
Running like a champ 🤔

I think I need to replace the head gasket because it's puffing on the rear cylinder. I hope thats the only thing I'll encounter while i'm there.

I also neede the change the original carb and coil back.

But it's running better than before so thats progress!

picture of the cam sensor rotor please, since may have a MM in play, instead of one for a carbed by isntead.

The correct one,hd 32402-83, should look like this,

One for a MM bike that year with fuel injection hd 32456-95,
looks like this;
