I like it because it really is a chopper, not like the bikes that the Discovery Channel calls choppers but really are custom builts. It probably would look a little better with a shovel or even a Knucklehead, but you can't beat the Evo for reliability.
Your comments don't suprise me at all, he gets the same responces from people around here, either they like it or they don't. The best part about this chopper is it's ridable, not something that was built for some company to park in their entrance for visitors to look at. And it's raked out to the next zip code!
Their is also something I would like to share about this bike. When I ride next to him I get the biggest kick out of watching the forks bounce as we travel down the interstate.
It's cool as hell to see these things flexing and not breaking in half. [sm=happybounce.gif]
looks sick, very custom but i dont think i would ride it due to the ridiculously big rake. the only thing i dont like about it visually is that his exhaust pipes are burned with that blue purple yellow pattern. cant really prevent that too much though from what i hear. nice bike though
Back in the day if your pipes did not look at least that discolored you were not riding enough and were probably thought of as what today they call a RUB.
OK Mimo, I have the best evo, lol. First year Heritage. (1986) One of about 1200 made in Signal Red, and one of about 2500 total. Came out in late year.
Now you got me pissed (), do you want to talk about numbers??? '99 Evo here (lastyear Evolution powered), "SilverEdition" Fat Boy, only 700softails produced with special edition logo and special "Diamond Ice" paint color. Divide 700/3 (Softail Standard/FatBoy/Heritage Softail) that will give you the total amount of "Silver Edition" Fat Boys... which takes me to the next point: They were painted like this and sent to Germany... Only a few bikes (5) remained in our continent
You have a very cool bike bro, and it certainly looks like you take good care of it.
