I haven't personally dealt with Hillside, but recall a few members who have and have had good luck with them and their Evo motor.
We're talking Evo and not Shovel also - I have zero knowledge on Hillside's rep with Shovels.
Yeah.. I hear good things. People seem happy. Some pretty knowledgeable guys even in this thread trust them 98hotrodfatboy for instance, so they must be good. I realize the threads in regards to EVO.. but a air pump is an air pump. And I know Shovels. It just gave me huge pause when I saw that. Completely under powered and in my opinion really bad practice to dual plug. Made me think if they do that with a shovel…

I have known Scott for over 20 years now and although I have had questionable issues with him, I don't feel I was ever taken.. He knows Evo's and shovels very well, it's where he and his brother started.. Old School.. He still has his Shovel drag bike which is no slouch.. He also perfected the Evo builds.. my 83"er was very fast @97/97.. To bad it sheared the crank pin.. If you take a look at his Facebook page you will see how capable his shop is with modern day machinery.. And like everything in performance, $$ how fast you want to go..
He always treated me well, that I knew of.. I honestly do believe that there are maybe a small handful of machine shops that can produce cylinder heads that perform beyond expectations and Hillside is definitely one of them.. He has a knack for matching machining to parts to get the most efficient build.. Everyone in the performance world will agree that the heads make the build and the machinist shapes the heads..
Can't wait for my new heads for my 110.. I know I won't be disappointed..
if Im not mistaken up to 93 is best because they have the Torrington cam bearing in them . After that they have the plastic Tonkin bearing in them that could fair after 40k miles.
I made arrangements to pick up a 1998 Harley Davidson Wide Glide.
About my question concening a 80 inch EVO engine and performance potential. I intend to use a machine shop to rebuild my engine. I want to address all topics in the scope of work for the shop. I know if I provide minnial input the outcome will not be positive
Update: I did some research and found a website called Zippers Performance. The site offers a 80/80 performance package. The package lists all the parts and suggested machine work. The horsepower potential is about 90 to the rear wheel. The parts package and work described by Zippers looks promising.
I didn't get the Dyna it was a scam ugh! ! So I still need a bike to install me EVO 80" engine. I am located just south of Houston Texas.

98hotrod,
I appreciate the input. It is difficult to find a good machine shop that still works on EVO I am considering Kevin Baxter as well. My near goal is to find a bike to install my evo engine. I am 6ft 3inches tall and I want a bike that is comfortable. I already have a 1996 Road King with a v111 s&s motor for touring.
