Make up a story that the bike belonged to a recently dead movie star or a bassetball player. Keep it low-key, not some big movie star or Kareem Abdul Jabbar, just some ham and egger. Hey, who wants to buy James Caan's Harley?
I do appreciate all the advice and comments. When I filled out the application forms for BringAtrailer, I put a reserve price of $6,500. I told them I could lower that, but they wanted only to list it no reserve.
I just don't ride it much anymore since I turned 75. I'd like it to go to someone who would appreciate it and. I don't know what to ask for it. I was thinking anything over $5k would be fair. I will take some more photos, and appreciated the advice and of when and how to take them.

I've been working at the shop all day. My wife just called and told me the lottery is up to a zillion dollars, and I'm supposed to stop at the gas station on the way home and get a ticket.
One thing for sure...if that ticket hits, that springer is going to be in my garage next weekend!
FYI, I sold my 97 Bad Boy for 9300 on EBay 3 years ago.
Ah, pandemic pricing...sellers market for sure!
FWIW I sold my pristine '05 Heritage in a couple of days on FB Marketplace. Could I have squeezed a few hundo more out of it? Yep, but my time and aggravation have value, and I was happy to sell it for what I did, and the new owner was happy to drive three hours to get it. Your bike is classier and IMO more desirable, so as others have said, it will sell itself. Your average new HD pogue won't want that bike, so you know that whoever gets it will be someone that appreciates the class and the legacy that you're leaving that bike as. Gorgeous!!!

believe me at 9300 I still lost money, Bad Boys are rare, and my Blue Scalloped 1997 was the lowest number color, only 424 made with a total of 1635 of all colors.
I kept all the stock parts, even though highly modified with engine work and open belt drive, I had everything from the windshield to saddlebags along with three seats including the original.
on the other hand I had the bike for 12 years longest of anything and put a ton of miles on it and the guy that bought it was specifically looking for a Bad Boy, its a little cult that Willie G started lol
