Goat,

It was running goooood a couple days ago. It rained here in LA (lower alabama) the last couple days and today it is rather cool (by our standards) so it is sittingin the shop. But hey, the bike runs good. I readjusted the clutch and it seems to be holding. I have got to quit twisting on the right side handle so hard though. Seems like I have to put gas in the thing ever day or so.And then there that slobber running in my big ol' ears, which don't look too cool. I am saving my pennys for a new clutch and a 6 speed Ultima tranny. Have you heard anything on the trannys. I tried to buy one when I ordered the motor, but Jireh was out of the gear sets at that time. Softtail owners can buy the complete trans, but us ol'dressers don't have that luxury. Gear sets were $500.00 at the time I ordered, seems cheap compared to the other sets I have priced. My sisters husband gave over $1500 on ebay for a six speed gear set. Don't know who the manufacturer.

lionsm13, I am not familiar with the 360's you spoke of. but the 2000+ brakes work pretty good. Hope all yall had a good Thanksgiving, I ate to much, again.

later.............................
Goat ,
how do you put you pic in your post ? and then change it ? I can't even get one picto post......

Glad to hear all is going well. I wish I could ride but 20 to 30 degrees is a bit cold. I have not heard anything bad regarding the tranny's. I think it would be a good investment. You can't pull the tranny and replace it??

I sent you a PM regarding the posting of pics as your signature.

You'll never guess who owns Jireh? Can you say Jehovahs Witnesses. Yep you heard right!! Was told that the other day... That's alright though. Personally don't care. I ordered a piece of machined steel that goes around the HSR 45 so that you can run basically any type of aircleaner that you want. I'm kinda partial to my S & S Super cover and K & N filter. This way no one will no what kinda motor I got. I am going to sell my motor, and 5 speed trannytoo, can get $ 2-2.5 thousand for it from a couple of guys that I know. Like to hang onto it, but can't afford both motors, nor do I really need 2
. People say I will be devaluing my Harley, but it's already devalued as it is hardly stock anymore. Put on a fatboy front fender taht matches my paint set, diamond ice, and 16 inch chrome thunderstar wheel on the front end. Got rid of the stupid turn signals, and put some L E D turn signal mirrors on from Kuryakyn, very functional, S &S Super E carb, still have the CV, 2-1 Kerker. Chrome rear fatboy wheel on the rear. So I guess getting rid of the motor, and trannyis the next step. Dang sure couldn't afford a new bike, nor do I want one. Got it finally lookin' the way I want. Looks like a heritage (studded seat and bags)without the tins on the front and has a bobbed rear fender. How's the vibration on the 107's or 113's?

No lionsm13,

I am the d a . he has tried to show me, I just can't get it right. Any way, my 1990 eglide ain't worth nothing to nobody but me and i ain't going to sell it so i figure i can do what i want with it and f*** the rest of the world. Just try and keep up, that what i tell everybody......

I want to go with the orginal looking air filter cover also. just don't know what to get yet to fit the mikuni. I guess i will have to buy a se high flow filter and backing plate for head breathers and that thing you were talking about..

later.............

lionsm13, You are not a D A!!!
What piece of machined steel you talking about? I found something on JP Cycles that mounts up to the Mikuni and allows the S&S cover to fit. Is that the same thing you are talking about? It was $50.00.
Paco is right, the hell with everybody else. They don't like it then don't f***ing look!!!! Regarding your sig, copy your pics of your bike to the gallery here or to photobucket. You can create a free account. Then get the path to your pictures and add [img] [/img] on the ends and it will work. I will help you if you want.
Gas mileage is going up for me. I got 36 mpg when I checked around 200 miles and I got 40 the next time I checked. Which was around 600 miles.Mine will probably do good if I could keep my hand out of the carb, but what's the point of having a bigger motor.

Paco,
You are not a D A either!!! Just add [ to the front of your sig and it will work. That is all you left out. Paco you don't like that big air cleaner?

lionsm13,

I have not checked my mileage yet. I wrote it down the other day and I am going to try to remember to check it when I fill up again. I probably ain't getting good mileage cause of my right wrist. I can't control how i twist the throttle.......carpal tunnel or some sh*t like that! Can't say how long this new tire is going to last either .......

Goat,

I like it (the big air cover) and then I don't like it. I think i want the original cover that came on the bike or one like my bro has that is round and has a small bar and shield ngraved on the front and a made in china sticker on the back! My roadglide has a mikun 42 with the orginal cover, i just haven taken time to look and see how I installed it. Been a while since I built it ...... been consentrating on the Evo.

later..................

that was ugly of me to mention some HD parts are made in other countries. some folks don't know that. I apologize for that statement.
