They are packed before installing at the factory. High quality grease shouldn't run out when hot outside but I'll clean it out when I rebuild it all and depending on how messy and how the old bearings look from not having any added grease over the last 25 years will determine if I add any again. Haha

Reading the comments about not filling the neck with grease through the grease fitting. So why did Harley put the fitting there?
What if I use high temp grease, maybe it won't leak out on my shiny black fender, you think?

Yeah you're good. I used high temp quality grease and it's not coming out any. Other than the initial squeeze out of course.
