How da f$($ do you tighten the steering head on these? I have the top bolt (Item #2) pretty damn tight and steering is not tight. I loosened the pinch bolts on forks also. There is no star thing to tighten.
Scratched my freaking tank with the damn fork cover that's behind the headlight.

#2 pulls stem up against top tree, also against #3... tighter gets Tighter..If #3 contacts stem, before bearings are tight...Something is Wrong!!
check that Snap ring is secure on stem bottom of Bottom Tree, otherwise Stem simply gets longer without Preloading bearings!!

Snap ring is secure but pretty big gap at base of neck and grease coming out. I filled it with grease and it took about half a tube of grease so I don't think anyone ever did it. 20k miles on the bike.

I have Never used a "gun" on Harley grease Fittings... just too much "space" for grease that is Not Doing a Damn thing. I always Hand Pack...But, I was Taught Exactly How!!
Be prepared for that bottom tree to be a Very messy, and Leaky place...especially when it gets hot Out... Ever notice there is No Seal on the Neck??
Edit to Add; Whoever pulls them trees next is Really Gonna Cuss You!!!
