Default dyna 2000i ignition tach issue

just installed a new dynatek 2000i in my 1993 tour glide. Wired it up per instructions for dual fire (removed pink tach wire from the coil and connected that to the green 2000i harness wire, disconnected VOES purple wire from factory harness and connected to 2000i purple wire, white 2000i wire to the coil where factory white wire connects, blue wire tucked into harness since I am not running single fire). Bike fires up and runs but the tach reads 0 at idle rpm. When I apply a bit of throttle tach jumps to life and starts working but no idea if it is reading correctly or not. Anyone else seen this with the dynatek 2000i? Should I just wire the tach (factory pink wire) back up to the coil and tuck that 2000i pink wire up into the harness with the unused blue wire?

You "could" do that just to check the tach operation. If the tach works well (again) that way, try the green from module again, just to check if you haven;t already.

If it still doesn't work correctly, best to conntact https://www.dynaonline.com/ The customer service is awesome. They are quick to answer an email.

If it works with factory tach wire, you still want it to work with the module green like it's supposed to.

You sure you have the #6 dip switch to dual fire?
If everything is wired correctly and dip switches set properly, Disconnect the white wire of the 2ki module (with key on) to power down the 2ki. Turn ignition off and and reconnect white wire. This should reset the module.. I've had this issue before but I'll be damned if I can remember how I corrected it..
