Is it returnable? If you are buying it to put on the shelf, that's a gamble. (On line stuff is always a gamble) If you are going to use it right away and it has a return, I'd do it . (Shipping $$)Make sure you have all the specifics printed out and saved. Contact the seller if possible.

They don't use paypal anymore on ebay, it's direct deposit.
I sold an engine, a panhead just over a year ago. Big ticket items are treated differently and as a seller I was stressed out, as a buyer it would bring some comfort. Ebay normally deposits the money in my account at the moment of sale but not in this case and I've been a member for 25 years with 100% rating. They held the buyers funds from going into my account until the seller not only had the engine but provided feedback! And this buyer didn't see feedback as all that important. I had to call the pecker head to make sure he was happy (he was) and explain to him that ebay needed to know that before I would get paid. So 2 weeks of waiting after the sale. So you have time as a buyer to determine if what you bought is what you paid for,
That really would suck as a seller and eBay should let the buyer know that, but it is good to know as a buyer that I'd be receiving exactly what was in the add.
With so many internet scams happening it's good to know eBay is using their resources (unlike Facebook) to keep scammers away.
