Default python exhaust

I just picked up a set of what I am pretty sure are python true dual header pipes off a 2005 ultra but the guy didn't have mufflers. Does python have a custom size for their mufflers? I have a pre 94 and post 94 style mufflers in the garage and both are too small, just slip inside. Anyone familiar with python pipes and know what will fit or if these are some strange python-only custom size? I assumed any set of HD stock slip on mufflers from that 2005 era would fit but maybe not? The header pipes appear to "step up" in size.

measured them, just shy of 2", like 1 15/16 maybe. Guy said he had fishtails on the bike... maybe i have to cut a slot and slip mufflers inside and clamp? I can slide the newer style in an inch or so, probably just do that unless good reason not to. Looking forward to getting these on so i can put my lower farings back on.

Just info, I see ports for O2 sensors which a 2005 would not have from the factory. Maybe the after market head pipes are later or for a different year bike? Just something else to think about, good luck.

Cutting a slot in them seems like a good way to get an exhaust leak.

Python's are Vance & Hines rebranded for Drag Specialties.
Try contacting Drag Specialties.
The Big Shot baffles should fit. I have the Big shot staggered
Both V&H and Python, they're 2".

I think those are Bassani 3 step tuned pipes. There are two different Bassani inlet mufflers… those would be the large size.

‘’Those pipes are rare and make better power than the 2 into 1 pipes while being true duals. Those are awesome pipes.

thanks for all the info. I thought the guy I bought them from said he had them on an 05 ultra. He probably just plugged the sensor holes, same as I would have done. He crashed the bike but removed the pipes before turning bike over to insurance since he said they were expensive. I will see if I can find any bassani mufflers but doubtful any used ones come up cheap around here. I was going to just slip in some stockers and clamp it tight, would probably be fine. If I can find mufflers that fit for not too much $$ I may go that route but do want to keep the noise down.

You probably wont…. Those larger size mufflers are extremely rare. Hoping the best in your search.

Bassani is still in business and sells mufflers, worth a phone call:

Bassani Xhaust - Slip On Mufflers
