Is there any reason that a 34T pulley off of a 1993 Heritage would not fit my 1998 transmission?
I would recommend not using the earlier transmission sprocket, they were well known to work loose and cause all kinds of expensive headaches.
In mid 1994 the factory came out with an upgraded sprocket and hardware.
The sprocket was thicker in the spline area, also the spacer was made shorter to accommodate the thicker sprocket.
The spacer outside diameter was increased to lessen the chance of the sprocket wobbling on the shaft, and the big oil seal inside diameter increased to accommodate the larger diameter spacer.
