The instructions for the install on the 2ki does not say wire to it. I want to clean the wiring up and remove things that aren't going to be used. Is this eliminated once you install the 2Ki? I am concerned about the heat in the nose cone. Normal operation temp for the evo are around 200 degrees give or take. Thats oil temp. I haven't put a heat gun on the cone but should I change this thing out every 5 yrs or is there a mileage related to it failing. Like every 10 thousand miles. Just trying to get a hold of what Im getting into. Thanks

Please ignore the flat, 4-wire connector. It is for a programming cable.

To answer your question, yes that module is eliminated. the 2000i is fully self contained and does not need that ignition module.

What year? I have a 32465-95a 1200 Q stock ignition module 95 and op, Deutsch connector if it helps..

Edited: It's for an 883 sporty but has more advanced ignition timing.. They work very well in an 80"er...
