Even If you need to rewire because of the Provided plug.. If ya can Manage an easy Rewire job on the new Connector, it is well worth it... IMO
So, I use the NAPA one!

Do you have the NAPA part number for an 89 ignition? I'm going to keep that information until I sort my wiring. Thanks

I`v experienced the sensor in the cone failure several times on my `89 Softail, finally the module gave up the ghost.

I replaced it with a dyna 2000i, it`s been in there about 5,000 miles so far.

I have read a lot of posts about the oem type sensors failing, but I don`t recall any posts about failures of the dyna unit inside the cone, but I have read a lot of posts speculating about failures because it is in the cone...

I had 2 fail because of heat.. The first one I sent in and they only charged me $150 for a replacement.. That one failed as well 7k later.. I guess my motor produces a lot of heat.. Hi Comp.. The green led no longer works..

This.
I can tell you the Screamin Eagle module is junk. No rev limiter, and mine took a **** on the road last year.
Dyna in it now, and it has more dip switch variables to dial it in, including the rev limiter.

To clarify, mine (both previous one and present one) were ground up builds with custom wiring harnesses. So, I didn't give a rat's patoot about plug and play or any of that. The Dyna is very easy to wire in, easy to set up, and works great. I am sure the other ones work fine also, but I prefer the Dyna.

Ive been in the process of installing the dynatec 2000i. The current unit thats in the nose has 3 wires that go to a 3 prong plug. From there it goes to the ignition module #32406-91a. The instructions for the install on the 2ki does not say wire to it. I want to clean the wiring up and remove things that aren't going to be used. Is this eliminated once you install the 2Ki? I am concerned about the heat in the nose cone. Normal operation temp for the evo are around 200 degrees give or take. Thats oil temp. I haven't put a heat gun on the cone but should I change this thing out every 5 yrs or is there a mileage related to it failing. Like every 10 thousand miles. Just trying to get a hold of what Im getting into. Thanks
