Everywhere I look for the MC-SPA* module, says that it doesn't fit my '97 FLSTC (Heritage Softail Classic). Are they wrong? I know I put a new ignition module in the nose cone a couple years ago at least to replace the melted stock, but for the life of me I can't find one that fits and works in my sled.

The "say" it doesn't fit because HD used switches that would kill the engine if it fell over after fuel injection was being put on some models.
That was a safety feature for fuel injected models because they would run in almost any position - drop the bike, it'll keep going. Carburetor won't do that.
