I hope it works out for you, but to be honest, it's probably still going to be heavy. I've owned an Electra Glide and 2 Road Kings, and while the RKs are lighter than the EG, it's not a whole hell of a lot less. At the end of the day, you'll still have a 750-800 pound bike.
I loved my RKs but ended up selling them and buying a Dyna just because the RK was getting too heavy for me to roll around at slow speeds.
