Hi Guys,
Last bike event was starter would not disengae after firing about 2 weeks ago. So I took this situation and converted the bike to a 1986 FLHT wiring setup with the smallrelay.
Removed old style relay # 381-355 jpcycle catalog
Installed new style relay # 380-625 jpcycle catalog
1. 87= solenoid wire- dirctly to short small stud on solenoid only
2. 86 = starter switch button
3. 30= 12 volts power
4. 85= ground
Use 14 gauge wirefor this project.
14 gauge wire from # 87 to short small stud on solenoid only
14 gauge wire from copper side main breaker tolong large stud on solenoid only
postive battery cable directly to large long stud on solenoid only
second postive battery cable beneath seatto power all 12 volt leads(combine all postive lead wires ).
