Default clutch removal

Have a 93 Fatboy and was wanting to replace my clutch with a better clutch. Looking at the book, it is straight forward but I am wanting to know if there is something else that I can use to compress the springs with out having to use Harley's special tool.

I replaced myclutch setup with a Barnett - it is easier to work on without special tools - you will have to change the whole clutch basket on your initial setup - but it is rather easy to keep up once installed.

Thanks guys.......yeah I am changing out the whole basket when I start taking it down for the Winter. Hey Jakesabre....explain a little more on that tool you made, of how it works. Going to look at my book again too. Yep, looking at several clutch baskets and Barnett is one of them.

You have a press? Not a big deal but you should not use a hammer because of the bearing.Barnett clutch, you will not need a spring compressor.Or at least with their Scorpion model.Have fun
