Default frame

hi!
I own 1998 flhr for about 2 years . Only problem that I had was primary leak
This is my first HD . I'd like to know what were the changes in frame from 1998
in flhr .If something happens to the motor do I have choice between EVO /TC
or have to stay with EVO ? Nothing wrong for now but just for future.
Have 28000 miles, 6000 are mine.
When I got the bike ,tires looked like new , they still do . Should I replace them
every few years or just when it is necessary?
Why longer I have the bike more I like it,
more I ride ,I want to ride more? Is it just me or someone else?
Any advice about how to keep bike in good condition?

Just my opinion! Stay with the simple cooler running evo.

Get you a service manual to keep it maintained and always keep it cleaned and polished to protect the finish.

quit worrying about the future, that bike should last a long time. The aftermarket has the Evo covered.
Enjoy the ride.

Most people average about 8000 to 12000 on the rear tire, 10,000 to 20,000 on the front. Change them when the tread is worn or if there is a defect such as cupping or dry rott. I like to change the front and rear at the same time because the age of the front.
Keep an eye on the rear spokes and make sure they are all equally tight, especially if you do a lot of 2 up riding.
Get a factory service manual, keep the maintenance up and it should last you a lifetime.
Some folks say the lifters should be changed at 30,000, some folks get 80,000 out of them, but it's a real good excuse to get a bigger cam. Everybody agrees the INA inner cam bearing should be changed to a torrington because it is a know failure point.
