Default Where is .....?

Where is the primary fill plug? I know where the drain plug is but how to i get the lube back in? thanks

I prefer to use the inspection cover myself, but you could also use the derby cover.

as above...32 ounces...1 bottle...use correct torx bit or allen bolt tip if that is what you have on bike...make sure torx bit or allen bolt tip makes 100% contact with screw head...do not overtighten the bolts...very, very easy to strip..very little force to make tight..use smallest handle wrench or screwdriver with correct tip..very easy to strip...buy the gasket or gaskets before you start..derby + primary inspection cover....i have been able to re-use the derby cover (updated plate style)..but NOT the primary inspection cover...bike should be upright when filling NOT on stand.

The derby cover is the easiest.

is the oil the same you use in the tranny? I bought some HD fluid that says chaincase and tranny fluid. it just seems strange to me. but if it works......

Yes, that's the HD formula plus, I use that in my primary but I use redline shockproof heavy in the trans and really like it. You should do yourself a favor and buy a HD shop manual, well worth the $40 to $50.
