Default Leaky evo?

I was just curious, i've owned it since 98 and it never leaked. That is until last year with rocker gaskets and inner primary. So i changed inner primary oring, it was dry around the other 2 seals, and last weekend changed all rocker box gaskets. I still have one little quarter size leak grrrrrrrrrrr. I'm wondering if this is just due to more blowby and it being a bottom breather having 40k miles. How does yours stack up? In an oil change cycle i usually drop about a strong pint @ 2000 miles then change at 3000. I think most is going out the breather/air cleaner due to no smoke out the back and clean plugs. ok be honest how does your evo cycle with regards to oil usage in the change cycle. Thanks Kent

Mine a 98 also, never leaks a drop. At sustained high speeds on the road I think itburns a little more, seems like a quart after a week or so.

I have recently cured a leak out of the alternator plug, otherwise it has stayed 'oil tight', by which I mean it hasn't leaked running oil, just a bit of misting in a few places, in 40-odd thousand miles.

Our toughesttrip was when we shipped our bike to the USA for Harley's Centenary and toured fully laden for 3,500 miles, the longest I have ever done. It used a quart every thousand miles, most of that riding in the 90s, which is pretty hot by our standards. I don't reckon I could have asked any more of it!
